Pride blinds us to our faults and focuses our eyes on the sins of others, keeping minor external regulations, and material self-sufficiency; pride is not conducive to brotherly love or self-examination. If we wish to be truly blameless, we must humble ourselves and seek to see our hidden faults and presumptuous sins. |
